Desert Dogs
If you’re moving to Las Vegas with a dog or planning to adopt, it’s good to know Las Vegas has dog parks with exceptional layouts to keep you and your pooch as comfortable as possible throughout the year. Depending on the park you’ll find benches under trees offering shade, and buckets of water and a hose to keep your for baby hydrated.
Las Vegas is home to the Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, considered the Mayo Clinic for canines. Military veterans returning with PTSD and TBIs get help from Red, White and Blue Service After Government Service. This organization provides service dogs to recovering veterans and help with pet medical bills, food and training.
Socializing for Dogs and Owners
Vegas is seeing an increase in social events for dog and owner. Go to Yappy Hour at the Rumor Hotel, You can read about the dog-driven happy hour experience here xperience. The Crown and Anchor is one of my favorite spots and it’s dog friendly. Dogs and owners are welcome to have a pint at the outdoor patio, while your dog drools over your plate of fish and chips.
